  1. Hip-hop is used as a resiliency practice by Black people and it creates community within the culture. How does this empower them? How is Hip-hop used as a resiliency practice?
  2. As a non-Spanish speaker, I didn't understand what a lot of what the music videos were communicating. However, I still felt the message through the chills that appeared on my skin, and I was able to depict some meaning from the use of narrative and visual effects in the videos. Is a personal narrative important to deliver a message thoroughly through this media outlet? 
  3. "Voice as process refers to the capacity humans have to craft narrative about their experiences whereas voice as value emphasizes that voice matter and necessitates recognition" (Baez, p. 59). Why is it important for both types of voice be practiced and heard? Can one be strong without the other?
  4. Julian Baez writes that neo-liberalism "undermines voice as value". How does neo-liberalism undermine this type of voice?
