1. In "These Women are Saving the Amazon", Esperenza responds to the question about how the environment and women work hand in hand by saying how indigenous women were given "the keys to understanding" (1:16). Why did the indigenous people believe that the "keys" were only given to women and not men?

2. In "Unearthing Women's Anti‐Mining Activism in the Andes: Pachamama and the 'Mad Old Women'", it states "making women invisible in this struggle, and meaning little is known of Andean women's roles in relation to anti‐mining activism". How are women still being seen as invisible in a fight that is mainly led by women?

3. In "What Does it Mean to be an Indigenous Woman in Contemporary Times", it states, "Our long history has been vilified throughout centuries, our pueblos and knowledge have been invalidated" (89). How does the invalidation of their history affect the community?
