Brainstorm #6 - Albert Lam

In "Ceremony of Memory: The Call and Response", Gonzales speaks largely about birthing customs, calendar practices, and incantations that serve as resilience practices and technologies embedded in indigenous knowledge. One important aspect of this chapter includes the multidimensional aspect of the historical practices the women partook in, which spans across the physical, mental, symbolic, and cultural realms. Whereas the technology of the women was incredibly diverse, ranging from song to materials to traditions, our typical and modern definition of technology is much more limited.

Conviviencia can see observed in "Clumsy Sky" by Girl in a Coma most notably through how both the musicians work with each other to create a work of art but also how the audience dances together as they connect through the music around them. Even the wallflowers of the event bob along as they can't help but be absorbed into the trance of the music. I think this speaks to the essence of convivienca, how people from even different backgrounds can come together through simply a common existence to share the one moment and be together.
