In "Ceremony of Memory: the Call and Response", the term "technology" described the knowledge held by the Native women of Mesoamerica, specifically regarding midwifery and childbirth. This knowledge was maintained through ceremony and oral tradition and could not be stomped out by Spanish priests and colonizers. These female medical practices remained resilient by being ensconced in tradition and maintaining a position of reverence, the women being referred to as "priestesses". But, despite this resilience, the logic of colonialism still makes an effort to delegitimize these aspects of indigenous culture. This relates to the, "'Girl in a Coma' Tweets Chicanafuturism: Decolonial Visionaries, New Media and Archivista Praxis” piece in that Girl in a Coma embodies Chicanafuturism. Where they utilize current technologies to "question the future" and reframe the past, thereby pursuing a decolonial future. Their music video, "Clumsy Sky" embodies this and the concept by highlighting the relationship between the performers and the audience rather than only the performance. This is a key part of convivencia, which shifts focus away from the performers creating a capitalist product to be consumed and blurs the line between audience and artist.
