Brainstorm #7 - Olivia Brunner-Gaydos

Our discussion of Chicanxfuturisms of Week 6 and their usage of social media for things like the DREAMers coming together is similar to the undocuqueer activists usage. They use it to not only find eachother, but to come together and fight for a greater cause. The undocuqueer's stated that no one was asking them to do this, but they were participating simply because someone has to do it,  someone has to tell their story and raise awareness. I do believe that their social media is a practice of resilience. The undocuqueer's especially can face lots of discrimination not only for being undocument but for being members of the LGBTQ+ community. By standing together on social media they are proving that they aren't ashamed of who they are and no one should be.  They show resilience by finding community through interconnected organization and showing they deserve human rights and are willing to fight for them.
