The movements created by indigenous peoples surrounding the environment are multifaceted, they cover many things, they are not just about the poeple living on earth but also about the creatures and land, la pachamama. Million highlights this connection showing us the way that indigenous practices and ways of thought surrounding the earth are different than the ones we typically hold in western society. We have to understand these ways in order to understand what MIllion means by buen vivir, the principals of which according to Ybarra are: sustenance, simplicity, dignity, and respect. The good life cannot exist unless we are in harmony with la pachamama as she is the source of all the things that will bring us the goodlife.
