Brainstorm Week 8- Khani Priest

The movements mentioned are connected to the practice of resilience in La Pacha Mama because they are working to view nature/the environment in another light. They work in order for others to view nature as an entity with its own rights and the right to exist. They fight to rewrite the coloniality and neoliberalism narrative that Mother Earth only exists to be conquered and owned. Along with these beliefs, comes the beliefs that those who are most closely "related" or in tune with nature are somehow less than human because of this relationship with la pacha mama. The movements embody resilience through their fight to understand la pacha mama in her entirety. The easiest way to link the required readings to convivencia and Chicanxfuturism is through their common ideas of resiliency and the deeper understanding of interconnectivity. What I mean by this is the fact that both covivencia and Chicanxfuturism are different forms of resilience in different areas while the readings discuss on going resiliency practices to protect Mother Nature. As for the interconnectivity understand, covivencia is literally the concept of coexisting and Chicanxfuturism is connecting the past, present and future in Chicanx life. The readings are trying to make the connection between nature and man and how we coexist in the past through our ancestors and the present, and the future.
