wednesday draft questions- Teresa Bonilla

1.  Jenkins says that describing women as "bearers of tradition" does not describe their connection to culture but instead draws on " powerful gendered constructions of women as bearers of culture". Why does this minimize and warp the activism of women?

2. How does this tie into the belief Gabriela Rurales shares in the Refinery 29 video (1:45) that womens eco-activism is a fight against the new patriarchy?

3. I noticed that Refinery 29's video "These Women Are Saving The Amazon" is unlisted, why is it like that, it has such an important message. Even if it was unlisted recently, like they took the series down of something, it still have few views and likes. How does this link back to previous readings about marginalized groups not having a voice?
