Part C: After the Dia los Muertos Celebration

Step 1: As a group, pool together your uploaded individual photos and select the two best photos taken at the Dia de los Muertos celebration. Your group's selected photo editor will record the names of the people or objects in the photos as well as their dates and locations (the meta-data) and also explain why your group selected those two photos in particular (in 100 words or less).

Step 2: As a group, assign one of four categories to your photos. The categories are those that we've learned about from Amalia's Mesa-Bain's reading:

(1) focus on cultural identity;  (2) narration of domestic space and/or narration of public space; (3) social critique; and (4) ceremonial/healing 

Step 3: The category editor will then explain your group’s categorization of the photos in no more than 50 words per photo and also ensure that the photos are tagged with the appropriate categories.

• Then click on the B icon and input your name–it does not have to be your legal name since this post is open to the public.  You’ll just need to let me know the name you decide to use if it’s not your legal name so that I can assign your credit. When you click it will look like this

• Then insert your photos, the category tags, and he 50 word description of why your group categorized them the way they did here in the comment box below. 

• Remember to hit the "Publish" button so that your post in the comment box can become visible.  Otherwise, if you don’t hit the “publish” button, your comment will be lost. Additionally, you will have not created a unique URL address to post in your Canvas assignment. 

• After you “Publish” your comment, take a photo with your phone or a screen shot with your computer and upload it to the Canvas assignment site so I can give you credit @ https://canvas.uw.edu/courses/1580963/assignments/7729046

• Full this assignment to be considered complete you must input your photos metadata into this google sheet @
