Tuesday Draft Questions (5/26/20) - Pavithra Prabhu
My name is Pavithra Prabhu.
1. In the online article by Hemispheric Institute, it states that “The proletarians of the large companies in developed countries do not live and work in the same conditions as the proletarians in so-called third world countries.” How can this be related to feminism in third-world countries vs first-world countries? What are some differences between the two?
2. “Schools and universities do not help build community or contribute to living well” (Pg. 124, Education Global Research). Do you agree with this statement? What has compelled the author/ interviewee to form such an opinion?
3. Acording to the Teen Vogue op-ed, “Ecuadorians are able to practice a feminism that is inherently more diverse and intersectional.” What makes their feminist practices different from the rest? Can and should other parts of the world adopt it?
