Rosanna and Ofelia Esparza are the special guests for the Ofrendas for the Future theme. They started off describing their family’s history with Ofrendas, how Ofelia got involved at Self Help Graphics, and what they are doing now. After that, they shared many pictures of their family, altars they have made, and the process of building their altars. Their slideshow included not just their larger community altars, but also more personal smaller family altars. For each altar, Rosanna and Ofelia explained the elements in the altar itself as well as the dedication or theme of the altar. In this screenshot, the skirt on the left has butterflies that represent their family members’ spirits. On the right of the screen is a picture of the family all working together to create paper flowers for their altars.
